The Wigwam River -Bull Trout

The Wigwam River is a small  remote freestone fishery that starts in Montana then flows north west to it’s confluence with The Elk River.The Wigwam River is regarded as the Top Bull Trout River in North America,as it receives a run of Big Bull Trout that move out of Lake Koocanusa.The Wigwam River is also home to a decent population of Westslope Cutthroat Trout,some of which are huge.

Elk River Fly-Fishing Report

The Elk River near Fernie British Columbia continues to fish excellent.Hatches consist of October Caddis,B.W.O.”s ,Slate Wing Drakes and a few Red Quills.Terrestrial Fishing also remains strong as long as the sun is out.During non-hatch periods try fishing streamers  or nymphs.Further west The Saint Mary River is also fishing well and worth a visit.For more information Contact Us.
